Star Trek: Starfleet Corps of Engineers (SCE)

Short stories in the Next Gen era, with an emphasis on problem-solving rather than epic storylines. Both the crew of the U.S.S. Da Vinci and the wider Federation universe get fleshed out, generally without getting overly repetitive with re-introducing characters for new readers. I suggest steering clear of Wikipedia and Amazon summaries until you've read past book six, because even the cover of book seven contains spoilers.
